Corporate Social Responsibility

As the company grows, Teneo is playing a more active part in the community.

Teneo employees regularly run fundraising events for a wide range of causes. In addition, all Teneo staff take part in a volunteering scheme local to each Teneo office.

In particular, Teneo sponsors the following charities and up and coming sports people.

Alive & Kicking

Alive and Kicking Logo

Alive & Kicking is an African social enterprise that manufactures sports balls, providing them for children, creating jobs for adults and promoting health education through sport.

Since 2004 A&K has produced and distributed 300,000 balls, provided 150 sustainable jobs, and targeted 40,000 children with its HIV/AIDS campaign.

Teneo’s support for the Alive & Kicking charity began shortly before the company’s trip to Kenya in August 2010 to mark the company’s 10th anniversary. Employees took over a number of footballs to distribute to the local children.

Plan International

Founded over 70 years ago, Plan is one of the oldest and largest children's development organisations in the world. Plan works in 48 developing countries across Africa, Asia and the Americas to promote child rights and lift millions of children out of poverty.

Teneo is working with Plan to fully fund one major African project per year. The project is selected by Teneo employees who are responsible for raising the funding through group and individual activities. Those that raise the most funding are given the opportunity to travel to Africa to see the project underway.
