History

Teneo was established in 2000 by a team of 3, including the current CEO, Piers Carey, as a part of the Aspeon group of companies. Its initial focus was on becoming a Network Management Managed Services Provider (MSP) and Teneo is now an Infrastructure Optimisation specialist at the leading edge in its field, providing innovative services and solutions on a global basis. Teneo is a private company, wholly owned by its board of directors.

In 2004 Teneo set up its USA office and trading entity Teneo Inc. A further North of England office was created in 2008. By late 2007 it became clear that Teneo had outgrown its Head Offices in Aldermaston, UK and in March 2008 moved to Theale Lakes Business Park, close to Reading and Junction 12 of the M4.

In August 2009, Teneo announced the acquisition of Swindon-based network and security management solutions provider iSimile, a privately-held business integrating solutions from leading vendors such as CA, netForensics and BlueCat Networks for a line-up of blue-chip customers.

Teneo has recently enjoyed a number of years of continuous growth as its solutions continue to help customers solve their business challenges. Teneo celebrated its 10th birthday in 2010 and now employs over 50 people worldwide.
