Teneo partner Infoblox acquires Netcordia to advance Network Infrastructure Automation Solutions portfolio

Infoblox Inc., the leading provider of real-time DNS, DHCP and IPAM (DDI) network infrastructure solutions, has acquired Netcordia, the leading independent provider of Network Change and Configuration Management (NCCM) solutions. Both companies are Teneo partners, with products such as Netcordia’s award-winning NetMRI and Infoblox’s IPAM and PortIQ, already an integral part of Teneo’s Management Solutions portfolio. This makes Teneo ideally placed to offer its customers an integrated approach to network infrastructure automation.

News of the acquisition comes as Teneo is seeing organisations face increased challenges associated with network management as more devices are being added to the network than ever before. Virtualised environments, new applications, technologies such as VoIP, increased numbers of remote workers and new compliance regulations are adding complexities to IT operations. This, combined with a need for real-time changes to the network, but without the staff bandwidth or necessary tools to meet 24x7 uptime demands and SLAs, indicates that integration and coordination of NCCM and DDI technologies will become essential to network managers.
