Next Generation Firewalls Emerge as the Answer to Future Computer Usage Patterns and Web Application Security Threats
Teneo carried out its first Firewall Trends Survey in October and November 2011 across Senior IT Managers and Directors working in a wide cross-section of organisations with an annual turnover in excess of £20 million and more than 500 employees. Teneo’s Firewall Trends Survey had the following objectives: • Explore the changing nature of IT security threats • Explore how firewalls are being used to tackle these threats in organisations today • Provide a baseline for the current firewall estate and establish how the current economic background has affected firewall investment • Determine how organisations are changing security policies to address threats from web applications Results from the Firewall Trend Survey deliver unique insight into the current state of play for firewall provision and provide a view of how organisations plan to change this in the future.
