Riverbed Steelhead Mobile Controller

Riverbed Steelhead Mobile Controller is a simple, cost-effective management and in-depth reporting console for Steelhead Mobile. SMC is available in two different models:

Steelhead Mobile Controller appliance (SMC)

A 1U rackable standalone appliance designed for large deployments and sits in the data center. SMC comes with 30 concurrent mobile licenses, supports up to 4,000 licenses and can be clustered to scale.

Steelhead Mobile Controller Virtual Edition (SMC-VE)

A virtual package deployed in the Riverbed Services Platform (RSP) on the Steelhead appliance, providing enterprise-grade acceleration for SMBs or smaller strategic mobile deployments. SMC-VE has 10 initial licenses and a total capacity of 100 licenses, making it a more cost-effective solution for mobile users in environments where the scale of SMC is not required.
