Managed Riverbed Cascade Service

Riverbed Cascade combines visibility into end-to-end application delivery dependencies with Network Behaviour Analysis (NBA) to address management gaps. Riverbed’s management solution spans network, security, and data centre operations groups to provide application performance management, improved threat and compliance management and CMDB discovery. Through its recent acquisition of CACE Technologies’ product line, Riverbed has also added state-of-the-art network traffic recording, analysis and inspection to the Cascade product range.

Cascade provides a new way of managing application performance and security by analysing the interactions of users with the applications, systems, and network devices that comprise the application delivery infrastructure. Cascade delivers the critical data customers need to quickly resolve problems that affect service - such as unauthorised usage, availability and performance issues, and security threats - as well as to inform consolidation, virtualisation and optimisation initiatives.

Teneo provides Cascade via a Managed Service mechanism in a similar way to the Managed Riverbed Steelhead Service, allowing customers to enjoy all the benefits of deploying Riverbed Cascade throughout their organisation, without the capital expenditure, management overhead and skills required to do so. The service aims to simplify the way in which customers can deploy Cascade while seamlessly expediting the troubleshooting process for both security and application delivery events.

Through a permanent VPN connection, Teneo is able to monitor the Riverbed Cascade system on an 8x5 basis (or 24x7) ensuring the availability and performance of the system, including the receipt of all configured flows. The system is configured to alert on agreed performance, availability and security policies and in the event of an alert Teneo will respond rapidly following agreed escalation paths, dependent on the type of alert.

Monitoring Plus

Utilising Engineers from its UK & US offices, Teneo can provide extended hours, business day support for only a small incremental service cost. Supported hours are 8am to 10:30pm (UK), or anything in between.

Monitoring Premium

Teneo will monitor the Riverbed Cascade system on a 24x7 basis ensuring the availability and performance of the system, including the receipt of all configured flows.

Investigate

Teneo’s Investigate service utilises our engineers’ expertise in the Cascade product to drill-down into the network data to try to identify a potential problem. Investigate call packs can be added to the Managed Cascade Service on a quarterly or annual basis to supplement your own troubleshooting teams.
